The following is part 15 of a multi-part series on The KHA Way, KHA Management Consulting’s Integrated Service Offering. This blog series includes the benefits of using KHA Management Consulting Services and the components included.

Previously, we discussed the second phase, the Offering Alignment, of KHA’s three phases of corporate strategy. In this post, we will go more in depth into the third phase of corporate strategic planning, an organization’s Short-Term Tactics. This will look at how your firm takes actionable steps to reach your Long-Term Blueprint by putting your Offering Alignment into action.

Your firm’s Short-Term Tactics are not only a couple of devices that are aimed at guiding action. The tactics are also a set of meetings on a timeline that are aimed at helping you get closer and closer to your 10-Year target that you defined in your Long-Term Blueprint. The devices used in defining your Short-Term Tactics are your 5-Year Change Missions, 1-Year Plan, and Quarterly Targets. These items are to be discussed, prioritized, and assigned ownership to your leaders during quarterly meetings. The progress towards these goals must be continuously documented in those meetings as well. If you would like help in organizing these devices and facilitating quarterly meetings, please let us know. At KHA Management Consultants, quarterly target meetings are one of our favorite consulting offerings.

After you complete our 5-Year Change Missions planning session, you should have a clear and concise vision of what the organization will look like and grow to over the next five years. Your vision will include revenue projections and profit figures as well as targeted metrics. Targeted metrics include metrics on the number of employees, cultural changes, client demographics, and 10-20 other facets of your organization that you either desire to change or want to enhance further. We will help you craft these targets and communicate them to your team. We must figure out how to get there during the next session.

With your 5-year Change Missions in hand, we will work with you to create tangible action items that will dominate the next 12 months of your organization’s existence.  These action items will have metrics tied to them, which should be reflected on a dashboard and be tracked on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Our team will advise you on how obtainable your goals might be and guide you on what obstacles you may be facing soon. In addition to this, as your trusted advisors, you will have access to our team of experts at each crossroad you encounter.

Maximizing Your Itemized Deductions Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act: A Strategic Guide for 2026

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act has fundamentally reshaped the landscape of itemized deductions, creating both new opportunities and challenges for taxpayers who want to maximize their tax savings. While the SALT deduction cap increases to $40,000 and new charitable giving options emerge, taxpayers also face a new 0.5% AGI floor on charitable deductions and limitations that effectively cap itemized deduction benefits at 35% for high earners starting in 2026. Success under the new law requires strategic multi-year planning, including bunching deductions in alternating years and carefully timing major deductible expenses to avoid new limitations while maximizing available benefits.
